Why I love shooting film.

The answer for me on this is a combo of simple and complex. The simple answer is: it’s fun, creative and an activity I’ve built friendships with.

The complex gets a bit gritty and preachy so if you don’t want that skip along. If you’re in the mood for a soap box, gather round.

There is a slowed down concentration that comes with shooting film. It literally forces me to focus on something and see it a different view (super nerdy photography sounding I know).

With AI, social media, binge watching, doomscrolling, etc. I feel like there’s this ever present cry for people to connect — to each other, to hobbies, to the physical world.
