Film of the Month: Wolfen NC100

Why This Film, Right Now

There’s a certain coolness to Wolfen NC100 — in both senses of the word — that feels especially right for this time of year.

And the grain? It’s the kind you can obsess over.

Why We Chose It

We’ll be honest — we didn’t choose this film because of its backstory.

We chose it because of how it shows up when you load it and head outside.

Where It Shines

This film really shines outdoors.

And maybe that says something about our ongoing struggle to get indoor lighting just right — but either way, this is where Wolfen NC100 felt most at home.

We shot it in the mountains, at a car show, and on a camping trip — places where natural light does a lot of the heavy lifting.

Who It’s For

We’d recommend this to anyone ready to branch out from their usual Kodak stocks.

The cooler tones felt different enough that it made us want to experiment a little more than usual.

Closing

If you’re curious and open to trying something a little different, this one’s worth a walk.

We wrote more about why that kind of curiosity keeps us coming back to film here.
